In Arizona, cities like Chandler, Tempe and Scottsdale have instituted rebate programs as well. In Chandler, for example, residents are eligible for a $200 rebate on new, water-friendly landscaping. To qualify, at least 50% of the landscape area must be non-grass with inorganic or organic top dressing with drought-resistant trees, shrubs, groundcovers, flowering perennials, succulents, etc. Similarly, Chandler offers up to $3,000 if residents remove turf areas and replace them with low-water-use landscaping. Depending on where you live, synthetic grass lawns can actually earn you financial rewards!
Even if your city doesn't offer a rebate program, you still reap many great rewards when you opt for synthetic grass including a significant reduction in your water bill.
