Sir Trevor Brooking officially opened a prestigious new Football Development Centre at Lees Brook Community Sports College on 22nd April 2009. Commenting on the new facility, comprising changing rooms and a full size third generation synthetic pitch, Sir Trevor stated that this fantastic facility will enable all students to enjoy sport throughout the year and develop the skills necessary to become quality football players.Partly funded by the Football Foundation the facility forms part of a 1.2 million contract for three third generation pitches let by Derbyshire County Council to McArdle Sport-Tec Ltd.
